Standing Up

This morning, my 18-year-old son was describing an overhaul he’s doing to his bike – not that I understood a bloody thing he was saying – and he got so excited about it that he had to stand up while he was talking.  Some guy at the bike shop where he works is also teaching him about… uh, I don’t know – I think it had something to do with hydraulic brakes… but my son had to stand up to tell me about that, too.

Only my younger students get so excited that they have to stand up to tell me things.  I never see this in my older students.

Carlo Ricci put this video up on YouTube today.  He doesn’t answer the question.  But I suppose it will be easier for me to find the answer now that I know the goal.
