Bedtime Stories

I just downloaded the free audio version of Adam Mansbach’s Go The F**k to Sleep.

It is completely and utterly brilliant.

I played it for my 16-year-old – a kind of retroactive bedtime story.  She thinks she understands it just ’cause she’s babysat a few difficult children.

She doesn’t know the half of it.

Despite the objections which will undoubtedly come from the likes of Meghan Cox Gurdon, I’d like to adjust Mansbach’s story a little for those of us who have teenagers: No, you can’t just send one more text.  Now turn that music down and go the f**k to sleep!
