Sorrows of a Sailor

I frequently feel like I’m stuck between two worlds: hearing and deaf; mother and writer; sanity and insanity, etc.  Then I realise I’m not stuck.  This is just where I am.  This song has been in my head for the last three days:

  1. I love the picture AND the song. YUP. My life feels/has felt like that at times. I’m old enough now (63) that the darkness is lighter and the waves are smaller. Unfortunately, as you get older, the boat gets smaller, too!! I advise the young to start with a big boat even if you can’t fill it all at first. Eventually, you will and there’ll be more to shrink later and it will take longer!
